Chongqing Women's Group

About the Chongqing International Women's Group (CQIWG)

The CQ international Women's Group was formed in December 2005. Our objective has been to improve the life of underprivileged children in rural Chongqing. Our group is made of foreign and local women. Together we work to achieve our aim by organizing social events where we can raise funds to develop charitable programs. At present we are running three main programs:

-          - One Liter of Milk

-          - Teacher Training

-          - Subsidies

Since the IWG was formed in 2005 we have organized the following main events:

-          The 2005 BP/Yaraco & Yinxin/Ronbo Chrismas and New Year Charity Ball

-          The 2006 March 8 International Women’s Day Fund raising film Show

-          The Sun Kingdom Family Golf Day on 3rd June 2006

-          The 2006 BP/Yaraco & Lifan Christmas and New Year Charity Ball

-          The 2007 Summer Cabaret in May 2007

-          The 2008 BP/Yaraco and Shui On Land Christmas and New Year Charity Ball

The CQIWG rely on sponsor contribution to fund the large charitable program such as the current Milk Project. Profits raised from the ticket sales do not support this and it critical that we secure sponsors in order to continue these programs that enhance the lives if so many underprivileged children. We plan to keep and expand the current 'One Litre of Milk' project as well as continue the Teacher Training Program and the Subsidies.

Please see bellow a summary of how we've spent the raised money in 2007 last year.
